What’s the difference between molarity and molality?

Students mix these up due to similar names. Explain clearly with examples.

Molarity (M) = moles of solute / liters of solution (volume dependent). Molality (m) = moles of solute / kg of solvent (temperature independent). Eg: Sugar in 1L water = 1M, but if temperature changes, volume changes, affecting molarity—not molality.
